Obituary

Mildred S. Mann nee Broida, 102, beloved wife of the late John for 67 years; loving mother of Robert (Galina), Susan (Laddie Antiporek) and the late Milton (Joan); cherished grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Mildred passed away after a brief illness. She was an unusually loving, patient and supportive mother who was passionate about her family, Gustav Mahler, the Bulls, and exercising. She attended her last exercise class at age 101 1/2. Our deepest appreciation to Vilma, Letty, Myrna, Julie, and the other compassionate staff at Care in the Home and Guardian Hospice. Chapel service, Tuesday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. I remember Milt’s Mom so well. She was an uniquely bright, friendly, intelligent lady and a wonderful Mother to a wonderful family, as was John a wonderful Father. She and John were always especially nice to me –likely because I played the violin and of course, because I was one of Milt’s friends. I have missed Milt for years and I have thought about all of you Mann’s very often. My condolences on the passing of your Mom.
